For most Canadians this is the obvious way to fund an account with us. Canadian dollars move straight out of a Canadian bank account, you authorise it inside your own online banking, and the balance updates at once.
Interac is a transfer service, not a payment card.
Interac Corp. runs e-Transfer for the country's financial institutions. It shifts funds between bank accounts using an email address or mobile number as the pointer, and the banks settle between themselves. The detail that changes everything: no card network sits in the middle.
A card payment is a purchase, and your issuer can see what sort of merchant is asking. An e-Transfer is an instruction to your own bank to move your own money. No merchant category is attached, because no merchant is involved.
Canadian dollars, both directions
This rail carries nothing else. Keep the account in CAD and every transfer moves at face value, with no conversion at either end.
Sending a deposit takes four steps and about a minute.
It's the flow you'd use to send money to a person, with our processor as the recipient. The floor is C$10.
-
Open the cashier and pick Interac
Select Interac e-Transfer and type the amount. Want a bonus attached? Tick it here — we can't apply an offer to money that has already landed.
-
Copy our details, don't retype them
We show a recipient address and usually a security question with its answer, generated for this transfer alone. Details saved from a previous deposit will not work.
-
Send it from your online banking
Start an e-Transfer, paste our address, enter the matching amount, and set the security answer exactly as shown, capitals included. Then authorise it like any other transfer.
-
Come back and check the balance
Auto-deposit on our side means the credit is normally there in seconds. If it lags, refresh rather than sending again — a duplicate takes a ticket to unwind.
Payouts run the same rail backwards.
We send an e-Transfer to the email address on your account. The floor is C$50, and your identity check must be finished before the first one leaves. Outstanding wagering on the welcome package has to be settled too, since a balance carrying a requirement can't be released.
We then review the request against your verified identity and deposit history, which takes up to 24 hours. Nothing moves during that window, which is why a Saturday request looks frozen until Monday. Once sent, the transfer takes one to three business days — automatically with auto-deposit on, otherwise via the notification link and security question.
The numbers on both legs.
We charge nothing on an Interac deposit or payout. Your bank might — most Canadian accounts bundle a few free transfers a month and bill beyond that. Our ceilings are C$1,500 per day, C$3,000 per week and C$10,000 per month, each lifted as you climb the loyalty tiers. Your bank adds its own send limits.
This clears when Visa and Mastercard get refused.
Canadian issuers block gambling transactions routinely, and the mechanism never varies. Every card merchant is filed under a four-digit category code. Ours says gambling, that code travels with the authorisation, and a bank set against the category refuses before your balance is considered.
An e-Transfer presents no category code, because nothing is being purchased. That's the whole explanation for a pattern we see constantly: a Visa deposit is refused, an e-Transfer from that identical account clears minutes later, and the same holds after a Mastercard attempt. Treat Interac as the first choice, not the consolation prize.
You never hand over a card number
Authentication happens inside your own banking session. We receive a transfer rather than reusable credentials, so an account funded only this way has no card details stored anywhere to leak.
Four things stop a transfer, and you can check three.
| What you're seeing | Likely cause | What fixes it |
|---|---|---|
| Sent, balance flat ten minutes later | Security answer mistyped, or the amount differs from the cashier entry | Check both, then send us the reference number |
| Your bank still shows it pending | It went to an address reused from an earlier deposit | Cancel it in your banking app, then start fresh |
| Your bank refused to send | Your own per-transfer or daily send limit, or a hold on a new payee | Split it across two transfers, or wait the hold out |
| Everything checks out, still missing | A delay on the processor side | Chat us with the reference and the time sent |
Keep the confirmation email until your balance updates — it's the evidence that resolves these in one message, and our chat runs around the clock.
The bank account has to be yours
The name on the sending account must be the name on your Oxibet account. A transfer from a partner's chequing account may well credit at deposit — and then stop dead at withdrawal, because we can't return a payout to an account that isn't yours. Third-party funding is refused across this industry, so send from your own bank and nothing gets stranded.
Against crypto, the difference is only on the way out.
Deposits are a dead heat — both are effectively immediate. The gap opens on the exit. An Interac payout waits on banking infrastructure: approved inside a day, then one to three business days, weekends excluded. A Bitcoin payout clears the same review and finishes in roughly an hour, any day.
Whether that matters is a question about you. Interac asks for nothing you don't already have, stays in Canadian dollars, and leaves a line on a statement you read anyway — useful for knowing what a month of play cost. Crypto is faster out, and wants a wallet plus care with addresses.
An instant deposit moves exactly as fast as an impulse, which is the one real drawback of a rail this smooth. Put a deposit limit in place before you start using it, and treat the monthly total of your e-Transfers as the honest number about your play. Our responsible gambling page covers limits, cool-off periods, self-exclusion and the free provincial helplines. In a crisis, ring or text 9-8-8.
Interac questions, answered plainly.
How fast does an Interac deposit reach my balance?
Seconds, in nearly every case. Once your bank releases the transfer our side accepts it automatically. If ten minutes pass with nothing showing, the usual culprit is a mistyped security answer or an amount that doesn't match what you entered on the deposit screen.
How long does an Interac payout take to arrive?
Two legs in sequence. We approve and release inside 24 hours, then the e-Transfer needs one to three business days to reach your bank. Neither weekends nor statutory holidays count, so a Friday request realistically shows up midway through the following week.
Do you charge anything for an e-Transfer?
Not a cent, in either direction. Your own bank may charge for sending one, depending on your chequing package — many include a monthly allowance and bill per transfer beyond it. That fee belongs to your bank and applies whoever you send money to.
My card was declined but Interac worked. Why?
They travel different rails. A card payment carries a merchant category code, and plenty of Canadian issuers refuse gambling categories as standing policy. An e-Transfer isn't a purchase and carries no such code — you're instructing your own bank to move your own money, so there's nothing to filter on.
What are the minimums and ceilings here?
Deposits start at C$10 and withdrawals at C$50. Our standard ceilings are C$1,500 per day, C$3,000 per week and C$10,000 per month, raised at the loyalty tiers. Separately, your own bank enforces send limits that can cap a large deposit we would otherwise have accepted.
Is it safe to use at a casino licensed overseas?
In one important sense it's the safest fiat option we offer: you never disclose card credentials to anyone. Authentication happens inside your own online banking and we receive only a transfer. That removes an entire category of risk, though it says nothing either way about licensing.
Can I deposit by e-Transfer and cash out in crypto?
As a rule, no. Payouts return by the route the deposit arrived on, an anti-money-laundering control used across the licensed industry rather than a preference of ours. Where the original method genuinely can't receive funds, we route to an alternative registered in your own name.
Do I still need to verify if I only use Interac?
Yes. Verification attaches to the account rather than the payment method, so we need government photo identification and a proof of address dated inside three months before your first payout is released. The review takes about a day, so send them early.
Fund from your own bank, in your own currency
Interac deposits open at C$10 and clear in seconds, and you won't type a card number at any point.
