A Mastercard deposit follows the shape of any checkout you know: amount, details, bank approval, balance updated. What's different at a casino is everything afterwards.
Depositing takes four steps, and the bonus goes on first.
Card payments open at C$10.
-
Choose your offer before the amount
Open Deposit and tick the promotion here if one is in play. Offers attach when you confirm and can't be added afterwards.
-
Enter the details from the card itself
Number, expiry, security code and the cardholder name as printed. Where a billing address is asked for, use the one your statements go to.
-
Approve it inside your bank, not on our page
Most Canadian issuers add a 3-D Secure step: an app prompt, a code by text, or a hosted bank page. It happens on their side, and we never see the credentials.
-
Check the balance before you play
Credit is immediate once the approval code returns. If nothing appears, reload rather than paying twice — duplicates are unwound by hand.
The card that funds is the card that's paid
Whichever card you deposit with becomes your payout destination, so use one you'll still hold in six months.
Your statement identifies this payment three ways.
Gambling transactions are among the easiest lines to spot on a card statement, and we'd rather you knew before it arrives.
The descriptor carries our processor's trading name rather than the Oxibet brand — unfamiliar, but normal for card acquiring. The entry usually posts as a foreign transaction. And the category code is the gambling one, so your banking app may file it under a gambling heading whatever the descriptor says.
3-D Secure is where deposits most often stall.
That step proves the card is in your hands. It's also the commonest failure point, because the prompt must reach a device your bank holds on file — a record often years out of date.
- Notifications off for the banking app
- An old mobile number on file
- The approval window timed out
- A pop-up blocker hiding the bank page
- You changed device partway through
Open the banking app manually before trying again — a pending approval often sits there even when the notification never fired. If the page timed out, start a fresh deposit, and watch the balance in case the first attempt was authorised anyway. Anything stuck goes to our chat team with the time and amount. The flow on a phone browser is identical.
The floors and ceilings governing both directions.
The weekly figure sits at C$3,000 between those two, and all three lift as you move through our loyalty tiers. A balance above the daily cap isn't turned away; it pays across consecutive days until clear.
Winnings go back to the card that paid the deposit.
Licensed operators return funds along the path that brought them in, up to the amount that path deposited. It's an anti-money-laundering requirement, not a house rule, and it fixes your exit route before you've played a spin. Deposit C$200 by Mastercard and the first C$200 of any payout returns to that card; the rest goes to a verified method in your own name.
Why it outruns our 24-hour window
| Stage | Who controls it | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| Reviewed and released | Our payments team | Within 24 hours |
| Pushed through the acquirer | The payment processor | Same or next working day |
| Posted to the card account | Your issuing bank | 1–3 business days |
Weekends and statutory holidays count at none of those stages, so a Friday-night request usually lands the following Wednesday. One wrinkle: a card credit doesn't always appear as a new transaction. Plenty of issuers post it against the original charge, which makes it easy to miss.
If the card expired or was reissued
Replacement cards carry a new number even when the account behind them is unchanged, and banks generally route a credit through to the replacement. Where the account itself has closed, the credit has nowhere to land and the money returns to us. Tell our team before you request the withdrawal, not after — we'll ask for proof and release to an alternative in your name.
Prepaid and virtual cards fail the closed-loop test.
Prepaid Mastercards, gift cards and single-merchant virtual numbers often authorise a deposit without trouble and then fall over on the return leg — the worst possible order, because by then you've won something.
Three reasons recur. Many prepaid products are built to spend down and cannot receive a merchant credit. Gift cards carry no cardholder name to match your account. And virtual numbers are frequently single-use, so by release time the number has been retired. Treat a prepaid card as deposit-only and expect the payout to be redirected.
If speed on the exit matters, a card isn't the tool.
An Interac payout runs on the same one-to-three-day schedule, so you gain reliability rather than pace: no expiry problem, no reissue problem, money landing in an account you can spend from. A USDT withdrawal is the quick option, settling in about an hour once released, Sunday as readily as Tuesday — the trade being a wallet you control.
The return route is decided when you deposit, not when you win, so this is a choice to make before you play. Our method comparison puts every settlement time in one table.
The name on the card must be your name
We can only take a deposit from a card belonging to the person registered on the account. A card in a partner's name may authorise cleanly and then strand your winnings, because a payout cannot be routed to somebody else's card. Separately: nobody legitimate asks for a full card number, security code or PIN in chat or by email. For a payment screenshot, the last four digits and your name are all we want.
Cards make it easy to top up again before you've decided whether you meant to, and a monthly statement is a blunt way to find out what that cost. Set a deposit limit matching the figure you settled on in advance, and treat the urge to add funds mid-session as the signal it is. Our responsible gambling guide covers limits, time-outs, self-exclusion and the free provincial helplines. In a crisis, ring or text 9-8-8.
Mastercard questions, answered plainly.
How fast does a Mastercard deposit appear?
Immediately, once your bank approves the payment. The only common delay is the approval step, where a prompt must reach your phone. If the balance hasn't moved after a minute, reload before starting a second payment — duplicates are unwound manually.
What's the smallest card deposit you accept?
Ten Canadian dollars, the same floor applied to every method in our cashier. Withdrawals have a separate, higher minimum of C$50. Claiming a promotion? Select it before you confirm, because an offer can't be attached to money that has already arrived.
Why does an unfamiliar company show on my statement?
Card payments are handled by a processor acting for us, so the descriptor shows that company's trading name rather than our brand. The entry often posts as a foreign transaction too. Both are normal, though your bank still files it as gambling.
The bank approval prompt never arrived.
Open your banking app directly instead of waiting on a notification, since a pending approval frequently sits there unannounced. Check that notifications are enabled and that your bank holds your current mobile number. If the page timed out, begin a fresh deposit rather than resubmitting.
How long does a Mastercard payout really take?
Longer than our 24-hour window alone implies, because two clocks run in sequence. We release the request inside a day, then the credit takes one to three business days to post. Neither stage counts weekends, so Friday requests typically land midweek.
Can I withdraw to a different card?
Not by default. Funds return along the route they arrived on, up to the amount that route deposited, as an anti-money-laundering requirement across the licensed industry. Where the original card account has closed, our team can redirect the balance to another verified method in your name.
My card expired after I deposited. Will the money reach me?
Usually yes, provided the card was replaced on the same account, because banks generally route credits through to the new number. If the account itself closed, the credit fails and the money comes back to us. Tell us before requesting the payout and we'll redirect it.
Can I use a prepaid or virtual Mastercard?
The deposit may authorise, but the payout leg often fails. Many prepaid products can't receive merchant credits, gift cards carry no cardholder name to match your account, and virtual numbers are frequently single-use. Fund from a card in your own name that stays valid.
